When you sell on TikTok Shop in the US, the platform takes a referral fee (sometimes called a commission) out of each order. Here's the current structure most sellers see:
| Fee | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Referral fee — standard | ~6% | Most categories (fashion, beauty, home, food). |
| Referral fee — select jewelry | ~5% | Precious jewelry / gold / jade. |
| New-seller promo | ~3% | Introductory rate for roughly the first 30 days after your first sale. |
| Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) | from ~$3.58–$4.28/unit | Only if TikTok fulfills your orders. Self-fulfillment = use your own shipping cost instead. |
| Withdrawal fee | $0.05 (bank) / ~0.9% (PayPal) | Per payout transfer. |
| Refund administration fee | 20% of referral fee (max $5/SKU) | Charged on refunds only. |
Fees as of June 2026 and can change. This page is a planning tool, not financial advice — always verify in your TikTok Seller Center.
For most US categories, TikTok's referral fee is about 6% of the item price. New sellers often get a reduced ~3% rate for an introductory period. Your true take-home also depends on your product cost, shipping, ads, and any creator commissions — which is what this calculator adds up for you.
Most sellers aim for a 20–30% net margin after all costs. Below ~15%, a single cost increase or return can wipe out the profit on an order.
Break-even is the selling price at which your net profit is exactly $0, given your costs and fee rates. Price above it to make money; the calculator shows it so you know your floor.
